About the role
Latrobe Valley Home Support Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality in-home care and assistance to our elderly and disabled clients in the Latrobe Valley and surrounds area. This is a casual position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation

Providing companionship and social support to clients, engaging them in activities and outings to promote their wellbeing

Monitoring clients' health and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate team members

Adhering to Latrobe Valley Home Support Services' policies, procedures, and client care plans

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
What we're looking for

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a home care or community support role

A strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by the elderly and disabled population

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathy with clients

A caring and compassionate nature, with a commitment to providing the highest quality of care

A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

A Certificate III in Aged Care or higher (able to provide personal care)
