About the Opportunity
Working closely with the Lifestyle team the Bus Driver is responsible for providing driving services for, and to ensure safe and comfortable transport of our Residents.
Your day will involve driving the bus, helping residents of differing abilities on and off the bus, ensuring proper record keeping and logs for the bus and cleaning the bus as required.
About You
The ideal candidate must demonstrate the following:
- A current Victorian driving licence (LR/MR/HR)
- A current Driver Certificate (Apply For Your Driver Accreditation | Safe Transport Victoria
- Be able to pass a pre‐employment physical examination and medical history check
- Australian Work Rights
- Experience driving a bus is essential
- Experience in aged care or community work is preferable
- Manual handling experience
- Safe driving record
- Immunisation Record - COVID mandatory
- Availability and reliability to commit to required shifts
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff
- Strong passion for working with the elderly
The successful applicant must complete a National Police Check, provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination and may be required to undertake a NDIS check.
