Position Title: Grade 2 Social Worker, Women and Childrens Services
Classification: SC21 - SC24

Salary per hour (exc. super): $45.67 - $52.49
Hours per fortnight: 32
Employment Status: Ongoing Part Time

Closing date: 21/04/2025

The Grade 2 Social Worker is responsible for the provision of Discipline Services within a designated clinical caseload, appropriate to their level of experience and competency. Grade 2 Social Workers are required to display autonomy of practice, whilst also contributing strongly to the interdisciplinary team.

The purpose of this position is to:

  • Provide best practice client centred clinical care to clients within the designated caseload in woman’s and children’s’ services of Bendigo Health
  • To provide specialized social work support to women and children who are experiencing crisis, trauma, or other complex social and health-related issues. The role involves case management, advocacy, and direct support, as well as leadership within the social work team.
  • Assess and provide therapeutic interventions for women and children facing a range of challenges, such as family violence, child protection concerns, mental health issues, and complex issues.
  • This role may be rostered to work on weekends and public holidays
  • Contribute to the development of the Womans and Childrens service, as well as the general Social Work department as appropriate.
