About the role

The National Logistics & International Freight Manager will lead and optimise landside logistics and international container freight operations across InfraBuild Recycling. Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Freight & Logistics, this high-impact role is responsible for the safe, timely, and cost-efficient delivery of logistics operations, while driving long-term strategy and embedding a high-performance, continuous improvement culture.

You will play a key leadership role in aligning national logistics activities with broader business objectives, ensuring consistency across sites, and enhancing operational effectiveness through strategic partnerships and best-practice trade execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for sea freight and landside container logistics to optimise cost and service delivery

  • Lead contract negotiations with carriers and service providers, securing favourable terms aligned with business objectives

  • Monitor market trends and adjust procurement approaches to remain competitive and agile

  • Oversee the accuracy and compliance of all international trade documentation in line with regulatory standards

  • Implement efficient trade execution processes to drive operational excellence and reduce cost

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve supply chain constraints and improve end-to-end visibility

  • Ensure full compliance with international trade laws, proactively managing risk

  • Develop and implement a National Transport & Logistics Plan aligned with operational and commercial goals across states

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with national transport providers, ensuring service delivery and continuous improvement

  • Support the development of sustainable and competitive transport sourcing strategies through robust commercial frameworks

  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and key business units to support alignment and long-term success

Skills and experience:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in both international and domestic logistics management across complex supply chain environments

  • Proven expertise in international trade execution, including documentation, compliance, and regulatory frameworks

  • A strong track record in logistics and supply chain strategy, with demonstrated change management capability

  • Experience leading high-performing teams in dynamic and fast-paced settings

  • Deep understanding of fleet and carrier management, including performance measurement and contract management

  • Proficiency in logistics planning and operational execution, aligning national and state-based requirements

  • Practical knowledge of vehicle types, loading configurations, capacities, and restraint compliance
