EXPRESSION OF INTEREST APPRENTICE WOOD MACHINIST FULL-TIME PERMANENT
A fantastic opportunity awaits for our next Apprentice Wood Machinist at Tuan! If you have an aptitude for machine operation and tool maintenance, a keen appreciation for Health and Safety and the ability to learn and problem solve; then we want to talk to you!
KEY OUTCOMES

A ‘be of service’ attitude and operating manner is shown in everything that you are involved in to support quality working relationships and deliverables.
Preventative and corrective scheduled work is completed per weekly or outage schedule; we are here to serve our customers.
Maintenance and production teams are supported to identify and plan preventative and corrective tasks that improve the safety, reliability and functionality of the plant.
Maintenance and inspection work ensure mechanical safety, asset reliability, materials and spare parts availability, condition and operating capacity.
Proactive maintenance approach, where the efficient elimination of future failures is the goal and a key focus is to limit production down time.
Equipment is set up and calibrated with a high level of integrity.
Product quality inspections and checks are completed as per compliance standards.
ABOUT YOU:
Tertiary qualification with a minimum of Cert III in a wood machining discipline or will achieve in the near future.
Demonstrated ability to competently run and train others in the Dry Mill infeed and planner dropout.
Experience with high-speed planers is advantageous.
Demonstrated experience with knife sharpening, sawblade, finger joiners and efficient machine set up, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to fault find, as well as good problem-solving skills and technical aptitude
Experience using Pronto as a CMMS system advantageous.
Ability to work varying rosters/shifts/rotating shifts.
