Our educational philosophy places an emphasis on working with families to ensure academic, social/emotional wellbeing and behaviour for every student is addressed and supported at an individual level. We do this in an inclusive, supportive way using a Whole Child Approach. We believe that by engaging in learning, every student succeeds, not only with academic success, but growing and developing as a whole person.
Mackay North staff work collaboratively using the Australian Curriculum to provide differentiated and targeted learning experiences to cater for all aspects of student academic growth, wellbeing and overall improvement. We pride ourselves on the quality education that is offered through our strong academic focus. All students are encouraged to do their very best in all academic pursuits and personal growth. Staff set high expectations for students and willingly assist them to meet these expectations.
Our campus includes Prep to Year 6 and also has a Special Education Program. We offer a weekly 0-5 playgroup on-site and have a C&K Kindergarten on our grounds. Our students have access to a range of cultural, sporting, academic and extra-curricular activities. On-site before and after school care is available and provided by Camp Australia.
