Description:

Cairns Security Clearance roles only: Due to the Security Clearance required for this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance.

The Opportunity

The primary role is to provide Wintel systems admin support for Austal ICT managed vessel systems. The role will also assist with general Austal corporate ICT technical and user support.

What’s Involved

• Install, maintain and support Wintel systems on supported vessels including servers, network, laptops and applications.
• Maintain and support central cloud server environment including applications.
• Manage software vendors relating to the vessel environment.
• Provide quarterly reporting to customer on vessel Wintel system.
• Assist with Austal corporate ICT support work as required.

You’ll need Essential

• Technical university qualification or relevant IT industry certification e.g. Microsoft
• 5+ years Wintel support experience including servers, desktops, Azure, VMware.
• Sound knowledge of cyber security principals
• Sound knowledge of IT networking including switches, firewalls.
• Ability to obtain Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline/NV1).

Desirable

• Project management experience.
• Any other relevant ICT technical certifications.
• Experience in a similar role in a related industry.
• CCNA or relevant networking certification.
