We specialize in mid to high-end duplexes and townhouses across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, managing 4-6 projects per year. Our Construction Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of each project—from planning and organization to execution—ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of supervisors and tradespeople, ensuring KPI and quality standards are exceeded.

  • Manage and oversee project planning, scheduling, and coordination for handover to onsite team and management for the duration of the project.

  • Oversee construction workflows, resource allocation, and financial forecasting to meet monthly revenue targets

  • The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience in project estimation, contract administration, and project management.

  • Manage contractor and supplier relationships to maintain project timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.

  • Manage preconstruction works such as construction management plans, traffic control, early works contracts etc.

  • Conduct regular QA checks, ensuring compliance with NCC, AS, and QBCC standards.

  • Champion workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements across all sites.

  • Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving.

Overall duties:

  • Project Delivery: Manage residential construction to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards from project inception to handover.

  • On-Site Coordination: Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and tradespeople for smooth day-to-day operations in conjunction with site supervisors.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.

  • Troubleshooting: Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to address any issues quickly.

  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to maintain standards.

  • Schedule Management: Monitor project progress, adjusting resources to meet deadlines and milestones. Work closely with the Project manager to implement and adjust project schedule.

  • Documentation: Ensure timely completion of internal and regulatory documentation.

  • Material Coordination: Oversee material delivery, ensuring correct quantities and timely arrivals.

  • Budget Management: Keep track of site budgets, control costs, and minimise wastage.

  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor staff, ensuring high-quality workmanship and professionalism.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Carpentry/Supervision background and/or 5+ years experience as a Construction Manager

  • Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding of building codes, processes, and safety regulations.

  • Planning Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction plans and ensure adherence to specifications.

  • Organisation: Excellent time-management skills to juggle multiple projects efficiently.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to motivate subcontractors and tradespeople for optimal results.

  • Communication: Clear and effective communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Problem Solving: Strong attention to detail and the ability to resolve issues promptly on-site.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Certifications: White Card and valid driver’s license are essential.

  • Qualifications: A trade qualification or degree in construction management is highly desirable.
