Stratum Title Management (STM) was founded in 1989 to provide quality management services to body corporate properties, ranging from strata title properties; residential units; through to commercial buildings throughout Tasmania. STM Tas has built a solid reputation throughout this time and remains focused on old-fashioned customer service with its local ownership at the core.

Stratum Title Management (Tasmania) can also provide independent management, secretarial and advisory services for purchasers or owners of strata lots in Tasmania.

Due to the growth of the business, we are seeking an Accounts Administrator to join a small dedicated team working in the body corporate industry in North Hobart on a part-time contract basis.

The successful applicant will be well presented, with good confidence and communication skills.

This position will work closely with senior management and our Portfolio Managers, overseeing the financial accountability of all body corporates under our management.

The position's responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Bank reconciliation

  • BAS preparation

  • Adjustments, journals and accruals

  • Issuing of levy notices

  • Creditor invoice payments

  • Handling client queries on levy notices

  • Handling solicitor and/or conveyancer queries on levy payments

  • Preparation of income tax returns

  • Bank account management

This position is available for an immediate start.

This position has the potential to extend beyond the contract period into a permanent role for the right person, including a full-time position.

This position will also potentially grow to include employee payroll and the company bookkeeping with the associated external requirements (BAS, PAYG, super, EOFY tax return etc.)

Hours
We offer this role on a 0.60FTE basis, with flexibility of when the hours can be worked over the five-day working week.

Essential criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping and financial management

Desirable criteria:

  • A qualification in accounting
