The Role
In this role, you’ll be providing excellent transport services to our customers and maintaining our health and safety standards.
What you'll be doing

Load and unload goods in compliance with axle weights and load restraint regulations and Company requirements

Undertake pre and post trip vehicle inspections, and report any faults, issues, or maintenance that may be required
-
Drive and operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, observing all applicable road rules
-
Ensure loads are secure and meeting load restraint requirement laws
-
vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition
-
Comply with chain of responsibility requirements
-
Complete required transport and delivery documentation accurately and in a timely way
-
Ensure all company equipment remains secure, clean and well kept at all times
-
Follow all company policies and procedures, including fatigue management and workplace health and safety
-
As we have a small team, you will be assisting in trailer pre-loading and some overnight loads
-
Comply with transport legislative requirements at all times (driving hours limits, required breaks, shift work etc).
About you
Here are the skills and qualifications you'll need to be considered for this role.

At least 2 years of MC truck driving experience
-
Swinglift driver experience,
-
MSIC License
-
DG License preferable.

Current MC licence
-
Strong customer and safety focus
-
Skilled in writing documentation with attention to detail
-
Great work ethic and self-motivated
-
Proven reliability
-
Awareness of relevant workplace health and safety requirements
-
Ability to work overtime when required.

Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Forklift licences would be highly regarded.

BlueScope load restraint and passport highly regarded
If you're successful, we'll ask you for a printed copy of your driving history. You'll also undergo a police check as well as our pre-employment medical, which includes a drug and alcohol test.
