About the role
We are seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic or a 3rd/4th year apprentice to join our team at Lowes Auto Repairs' in Warrnambool, Victoria. This is a full-time role that will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles. You will be part of a close-knit and supportive team, committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
What you'll be doing
- Diagnose, service and repair a variety of makes and models of vehicles
- Undertake routine maintenance and repairs such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations
- Perform major repairs and overhauls to engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex issues
- Provide feedback and recommendations to customers on the condition of their vehicles
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed records of all work undertaken
What we're looking for
- Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a 3rd/4th year automotive apprenticeship
- Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic, preferably in a workshop environment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
- A valid driver's licence and your own tools
