About the Role
As our new Learning, Safety and Wellness Coordinator you will be responsible for the development, implementation and co-ordination of safety, wellness and staff training (non clinical) programs across the organisation. The position will have responsibility for delivering the health and wellness organisational program and will enhance OHS compliance, cultivate continuous professional growth, and foster a positive learning culture. The role also has responsibility for our student placement and volunteer program.
This role may suit a human resources 'allrounder' that has managed OHS previously, as well as training requirements in an organisation.
Essential skills and attributes (selection criteria):
- Demonstrated knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, and standards
- Proven ability to perform OH&S audits, incident and accident investigations and recording of outcomes
- Strong experience in learning and development
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivery of training programs to an operational workforce
- Strong computer skills including experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and proficiency in Microsoft and HR systems
- Experience developing management training reports
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to undertake work independently
- Leadership and mentorship skills to foster professional growth.
