About the Role:
Are you an experienced and confident Support Worker with a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and complex needs? At Aruma, we are seeking dedicated professionals to join our Community Team as Human Rights warriors.
In this role, you will advocate for the rights, dignity, and equality for our participants, ensuring they receive tailored support that respects their unique needs and goals. Your experience in managing high-challenging behaviours will be essential as you implement and review personalised support plans. Building strong relationships with participants, their families, and community stakeholders will be a key part of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2:1 support for individuals with complex behaviours.
- Long shifts available for those who prefer extended working hours.
- Implement and review personalised support plans.
- Build strong relationships with participants, families, and community stakeholders.
- Support with activities of daily living
- Maintain mental alertness throughout.
About You:
- Experienced in managing complex behaviours.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, respond, and communicate clearly and patiently.
- Passionate about human rights and positive change.
- Empathetic, compassionate, and understanding of diverse experiences.
- Team player, enthusiastic about collaboration and best practices.
- Willing to obtain relevant regulatory requirements.
