About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Business Services Team to teach and assess the Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (BSB41419) course. The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety provides learners with the practical knowledge and skills designed to help improve safety in the workplace. This course has a strong focus on providing learners the knowledge, practical skills and experience to pursue a professional career in a range of jobs roles, including Safety Advisors, WHS assessors, WHS Officers or WHS Supervisors. The successful candidate must be available for online delivery during evening hours. Travel across Gippsland to deliver face-to-face sessions on-campus will also be required. Flexibility to negotiate work location is available. The position includes a six-month probationary period.

At TAFE Gippsland the role of the Teacher is to

  • Share knowledge and experience in your specialist area;
  • Manage the learning process to enable students to achieve their best;
  • Develop and deliver relevant and industry current course material;
  • Ensure that their own professional teaching and vocational competence and currency is kept up to date along with licensing requirements.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or equivalent (mandatory)
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or above)
  • A teaching qualification at Diploma level or above would be treated favourably;
  • Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
  • Current Police check (not older than 12 months)
  • Driver’s License
