Description

As a Paint line Manager, you will oversee a team of three employees, ensuring they meet performance targets, quality standards, and contribute to the overall success of the department. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring workflow to ensure efficient operations. Your leadership will be key in motivating staff, enhancing performance, and ensuring high levels of job satisfaction.

Skills and Experience required

  • A qualification with 2-3 year’s supervisory experience working within a similar industry

  • On-the-job spray painting experience with paint line machinery.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role.

  • Ability to work with Water Based Priming, 2Pac & UV Paints.

  • Experience in Automotive Painting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of three employees.

  • Oversee and participate in daily operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

  • Ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to within your team

  • Report on team performance and provide insights to senior management.

  • Providing advice and guidance to the team on all paint shop operations (prepping, painting and general servicing, etc).

  • Estimate painting times, ovens, staffing requirements and related costs to measure production and maximize efficiency.

  • Completing quality checks prior to each job entering paint booth and after each job is completed before it is signed off.

  • Regular updates on progress to be reported to Operations Manager.

  • Collaborate with other departments to meet overall business objectives.

  • Ensure that rework is kept to a minimum.
