We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our busy team in Cora Lynn, Victoria 3814. Cora Lynn Poultry Farms Pty Ltd is one of the most experienced and entrepreneurial teams in the industry. Ideally, we are looking for people to hit the ground running, make your space your own, and use your skills to compliment the other workers. This is a permanent full-time position with an annual salary set at $ 80K-90K plus superannuation, based on experience.

Your Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical systems (egg conveyors, feeders, ventilation, watering), optimizing performance and efficiency.

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.

• Fabricate, modify, and improve farm equipment to enhance productivity, energy efficiency, and operational flow.

• Integrate automation, robotics, and sensor technologies to streamline egg collection, grading, and other processes.

• Plan and execute mechanical projects, including equipment installation and facility upgrades.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and implement safety measures.

• Monitor and optimize resource consumption (energy, water).

• Train and support farm staff on equipment operation and maintenance.

• Analyze operational data, facility layout, and production schedules to optimize worker and equipment efficiencies.

• Establish and maintain standards for installation, maintenance, quality control, and testing, and develop equipment specifications.

To be shortlisted for the position you need to have:

· At least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

· Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Mechanical Engineer

· Experience in mechanical system, maintenance, or manufacturing.

· Experience in agriculture, food production, or industrial automation is preferred. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical skills.
