- Plan and organise the preparation and cooking of traditional Indian, Pakistani, and Afghani cuisine.
- Create new recipes and innovate flavour combinations to enhance the customer dining experience.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
- Train and manage kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety procedures.
- Prepare and cook dishes with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- Collaborate with management to develop and refine menu offerings.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring adequate supply levels and minimal waste.
- Implement food cost reduction initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely food service.
- Customise menu offerings for customers with special dietary needs.
- Supervise food preparation and ensure consistent quality and plating standards.
- Maintain a well-organised mise en place for efficient kitchen operations.
- Conduct regular team meetings to streamline kitchen operations and foster teamwork.
- Introduce and develop signature dishes that reflect the restaurant’s ethos.
REQUIRED SKILLS Cert IV in Commercial Cookery & Diploma in hospitality Management Minimum 1 year experience and competent English Experience in Indian Cuisine including north Indian dishes and Tandoori dishes Languages: English, Hindi and Punjabi highly recommended Please send your CV to ****@businessnest.com.au.
