The Role
The Asset and Facilities Officer plays a critical role in managing and maintaining council-owned assets and facilities. This position ensures council properties are maintained to a high standard through proactive asset management, planned maintenance, contractor oversight, and database management.
Key responsibilities include:

Coordinating asset inspections

Developing maintenance programs

Overseeing contract management

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations

Supporting asset sustainability initiatives

Budget planning and procurement

Policy development to support long-term asset management strategies

Key Selection Criteria
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Relevant qualifications and/or experience in asset maintenance and facilities management
-
Experience in contract management, including invoicing, purchase orders, and procurement
-
Knowledge of asset management systems and experience in database management
-
Ability to prioritize work with high attention to detail in record-keeping, database management, and reporting
-
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Pre-Employment Requirements
Before commencing employment, the successful applicant will need to provide:
