About the Role

Reporting to the Program Lead, we currently have a full time Crew Civil – Pipe Repair role within our Works Delivery Team based at Olinda. As the Crew Civil – Pipe Repair you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our civil project works across Melbourne Water’s Waterways & land assets.

About you:
  • Proven experience in civil asset maintenance and repair
  • Valid Victorian Driver’s license (HR or MR preferred)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and AusCheck
  • Ability to take care of own and colleagues Health and Safety through identification and reporting of hazards and active involvement in improvement initiatives.
  • Problem solving skills, including the ability to deliver the appropriate outcomes
  • Ability to work and contribute in a team environment to improve processes, respond to various demands and manage multiple activities simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations
  • Ability to use initiative and innovation in a range of tasks

The Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) Act 2018 requires Melbourne Water, as an operator of critical infrastructure, to prepare a Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (CIRMP), which has been undertaken and managed by the Security and Emergency Management Team.

Melbourne Water are required to assess roles across Melbourne Water to determine what roles are critical under the Act. All employees working in a role deemed SOCI critical will require additional background checks via AusCheck. This role is deemed critical, and the preferred applicant will be asked to undertake an AusCheck.
