Iluka Resources is a global critical minerals company, with a proud 70 year history, entering a pivotal time of growth.
With a bright future ahead, we are seeking team members for our exciting Balranald operation where we will be deploying a new mining technology. Using remotely operated, novel underground mining (UGM) systems to extract key critical minerals.
Our processing plant features essential processes, including screening, de-sliming, thickening, spirals, flotation, magnetic separation, and upgrades to optimize mineral recovery. The plant also includes a pond dredging system for fine tails reinjection.
About the location
Iluka’s Balranald operation is located just outside of Balranald township in regional south-western NSW.
You can choose to reside locally, drive-in drive-out from towns within the regional area, or fly-in fly-out from Melbourne.
About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Electrical Technicians to join our Maintenance Team at Balranald.
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the primary function of the role is to assist in the optimisation of plant availability by carrying out maintenance tasks on fixed and mobile equipment in accordance with established Iluka standards, including safety and environmental procedures.
The core responsibilities of this role include:
Recommend and perform preventative maintenance routine inspections and carry out troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis Solve reliability issues using fault-finding abilities Continual assessment of the process, equipment, and procedures as well as troubleshooting problems
About You
Electrical Trade Certificate – HV switching preferredInstrumentation fault-finding and installation knowledge Current driver's licence Good numerical, literacy, and computer skills with proficiency in SAP or similar application Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred High Risk Work tickets; Forklift, Dogging, Non Slewing Crane and Elevated Work Platform > 11m
