Job Summary
As a catering assistant/kitchen hand you will be responsible for enhancing residents' dining experience by ensuring and maintaining a personalised and customer-focused approach while maintaining food safety practices in line with regulations. You will be reporting to the Manager of Residential Services and working with the care, health and hospitality team.
Your Contribution
- Provide a varied and nutritional food service, which meets the needs of the aged residents within the residential aged care setting.
- Provide excellent personalised service to our residents.
- Prepare meals and drinks.
- Distribute meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties.
- Dining room services.
- Complete documentation.
- Exhibit our values of Kindness, Integrity, Connection and Optimism in all interactions
- Available to work various shifts - mornings, afternoons, evenings, occasional weekends.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience is essential
- Completion of a HACCP course (or willing to complete)
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Current National Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care (or willing to obtain)
