About the role:
Pharmacy technician is required in our business to support pharmacists in various capacities, ensuring the smooth operation of a pharmacy, and providing critical services to patients. The role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal abilities. We are currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician which is critical to our ability to operate the business.
Job description:
Duties include, but are not limited to –
· To receive the prescriptions from the customers and confirm the validity by checking their expiry date and number of repeats and stamp them and fill all required information for dispensing such as brand requirement, any allergies to any medication and confirming the details of Medicare and concession card, update them if required etc.
· For Pharmacists only medication requests, collect the identification details from customers and ask the screening questions before referring to Pharmacists.
· Dispensing and labelling patients’ prescriptions under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
· Ordering the dispensary stationary when required, including dispensing labels, repeat paper, prescription repeat folder, safety net cards and other medication packaging such as tablet vials and cartons.
· Follow up the special orders that were done one day earlier and complete them and inform the customers about their medication is ready to collect.
· Sort out the claim prescriptions.
· Check the future baskets if any prescriptions need to dispense on that date.
· Checking the medication order sent through the Pharmacy App such as Medadvisor and terry white app and dispensing them and informing the patients about their medication are ready to pick up.
· Fill the medication stock in the drawers and check the expiry date of the drawer medication regularly.
· Helps the patients by greeting them in person and over the phone, answering questions, and requests and referring inquiries to the Pharmacist. Asking them if they require extra assistance for over-the-counter medication or products.
· Process the customer purchases in the pharmacy which includes the prescription medication, over the counter products and other consumer goods sold at the pharmacy.
Skills required:
· At least Diploma in pharmacy or higher plus 3 years of experience or 3 years of relevant experience in absence of qualification

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
