The Company:
Bard Engineering Group Pty Ltd is a well-established Australian company that has serviced the Australian and international mining and support industry for over 30 years.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations, making sure that products are built, repaired, and assembled on time and to specification whilst maintaining the company standards of quality and workplace health and safety.
The Role:
- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimal day-to-day operations
- Increase productivity and minimize costs whilst maintaining high quality and service
- Implement strategies to meet objectives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Train and develop staff
- Monitor operations and discipline staff where required
- Have the ability to be hands-on, work alongside staff, and set a high standard.
- Be physically fit and strong and able to cope with very heavy, physical, and fast-paced work
- Quality control
- Deal with customers/potential customers and address any concerns
- Report and interact directly with key stakeholders
- Ensure Delivery in full on time (DIFOT) – actively promotes achieving targets. Striving to excel beyond targets.
The Requirements:
- Proven experience that would enable the candidate to meet responsibilities
- Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills
- Be knowledgeable of OHS, lean manufacturing, quality, productivity, inventory, and workshop processes
- Computer literacy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Manufacturing/trade/engineering qualifications will be highly regarded
- Must have Australian Work Rights
