Want to work In-house with leading property and environment lawyers? Land Specialist's Central Coast office is now hiring a 0-3 PQE solicitor. We are a team of lawyers and property consultants located at the Mariners Centre of Excellence in Tuggerah. We advise on small to $1B+ developments and appear in the Land and Environment Court of NSW in property and planning matters.
The successful candidate will develop advanced legal research and litigation skills learning from the Land Specialists Team. The successful candidate will work along side other experienced solicitors and our General Counsel who has been a law lecturer and written commentary for a leading law text book.
Working in-house provides the unique opportunity of being able to use legal knowledge to solve commercial issues. This role would be ideal for a lawyer with strong commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial flare.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Negotiations with councils, clients and other law firms to resolve legal issues

Assisting with Land and Environment Court litigation matters

Case analysis including assessing development applications against various legislative controls

Preparing briefs for barristers

Preparing research memos
-
Preparation of court documents

Supervising Law Clerks

Corporate administration and contract management
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Have a D or HD average
-
Ability show initiative and solve problems independently

Good telephone manner

Have a clear voice
-
Exceptional attention to detail
