Northern Inland Credit Union seeks an experienced Human Resources & Training Officer to join our team. As part of a financial institution established for over 50 years, the position is based in our Newcastle Office.
About the role
The Human Resources & Training Officer is a dual role and is an integral part of the team at NICU, responsible for:

Overseeing various HR functions; ensuring compliance with documented policies and procedures and relevant workplace relations and workplace safety legislation;
and
-
Directly influencing the performance and professional pathways for learning of all staff.
The responsibilities of the HR & Training Officer include the following:
Human Resources:

Recruitment and Selection

Employee Onboarding and Offboarding

Employee Relations

Performance Management
-
HR Policies and Compliance
-
HR Administration
Training :

Training Needs Assessment and Program Development

Training Delivery and Facilitation

Training Evaluation and Feedback

Training Administration

Learning and Development Initiatives

To be successful in this role you would have the following:

Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management;

Demonstrated experience in a HR & Training Officer role or similar role;

Relevant certification in training and development (or willingness to obtain);
-
Certification in WHS;
-
Experience working in a financial institution (Desirable).
Remuneration is based on experience and relevant qualifications.

The NICU Head Office is located in Tamworth. The HR & Training Officer would be joining a team of over 40 experienced staff in an organisation renowned for its high standard of Member service.
