About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Project Engineer to provide technical support for electrical projects site-wide, covering key surface & underground infrastructure, as well as providing electrical engineering support to the mine operations team. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong leadership skills, and have a passion for engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Electrical Engineering Manager and undertaking long and short-term electrical engineering planning.
- Ensuring electrical work is carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Proactively manage costs by conducting regular reconciliations of expenditure.
- Assisting with site project work as required.
- Collaborate and innovate to continuously improve performance and processes to optimise equipment availability and reliability.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability through continuous improvement.
- Manage the electrical safety and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership to the tradespersons.
- Prioritising multiple tasks and high-priority situations.
The successful candidates will have the following:
- Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) or, Degree certificate in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of Citect/SCADA/PLC systems and variable speed drives technology.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, engineering principles, and industry standards.
- Attention to detail in reporting and good written/verbal communication skills.
