Key Responsibilities
Be a key influencer in this Procurement team as a Category Manager, strategically driving value across a diverse portfolio encompassing fleet, medical consumables, labour hire and adhoc items. You'll play a vital role in optimising resources and ensuring impactful procurement outcomes. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will collaborate and learn from an experienced professional and join a welcoming team who value cohesion.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-develop strategic category plans for optimal value and risk management.
- Build strong, collaborative stakeholder relationships for category success.
- Champion innovative procurement for savings and efficiency.
- Lead end-to-end tendering and sourcing for quality outcomes.
- Apply your expertise to resolve issues with stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain market knowledge and drive robust governance/risk management.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance.
- Collaborate on strategic procurement initiatives.
Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Business, Supply Chain, or similar.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist/Category Manager or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check.
- Strong customer focus and service commitment.
- Solid procurement and contract management expertise.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative and relationship-focused mindset.
