The opportunity
Are you passionate about providing the best care for your clients? Do you have experience in leading and managing a team of allied health professionals? Promoting a multidisciplinary approach to best care that ensures the safety, quality, and effectiveness of clinical practice for clients across various settings and programs? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the Head of Multidisciplinary Care, Allied Health position.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support your team of allied health professionals to provide Best Care and optimal outcomes for clients.
- Foster a positive and supportive culture that aligns with Silverchain’s Code of Conduct and Best Care Framework.
- Handle complex client and staff issues and escalate them as needed to the relevant discipline or manager.
- Monitor and support the team’s performance and KPI targets and ensure timely and effective feedback and resolution.
- Communicate regularly with the team and keep them informed of the business unit objectives and organisational strategies and expectations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and deliver client care that meets the client’s needs and contractual obligations.
- Ensure readiness and compliance for internal and external audits and accreditation as required.
- Promote supervision, accountability, learning and development, and competency maintenance among the team members and motivate them to deliver safe and evidence-based care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and service documentation.
About you
You have passion with purpose, are driven by excellence and have proven leadership experience. In addition, you will have the following:
- Current Allied Health registration with AHPRA or relevant national peak body (if applicable), and high level clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, carers, families and direct care employees.
- Ability to provide education, support and supervision to direct care employees, clients, and their carers.
- Decision making and problem-solving skills to manage the quality of client care.
- Empathy and flexibility to handle client and employee issues in a clinical environment.
- Experience in leading a team and co-ordinating resources to achieve outcomes.
- Experience in change management and service design.
- Experience and demonstrable outcomes in continuous improvement and clinical audit.
- Sound knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to contribute to organisational objectives.
- Time management and organisational skills to plan and prioritise work tasks.
