Description:
TRP Ductwork is currently looking for an Engineering/Manufacturing Employee (Metal Fabrication) to join the team. Working with qualified and skilled engineers, you will gain valuable hands on experience, mentoring and support.
Duties will involve:
- Fabrication of air conditioning ductwork and sheet metal flashings
- Apply sheet metal practical knowledge
- Use workshop machines for basic operations
- Carry out mechanical cutting
- Acquire skills to use light gauge machinery
- Apply principles of occupational health and safety in the work environment
The successful candidate will:
- Be a confident communicator
- Be able to undertake manual/physical work
- Be motivated with a genuine interest in the fabrication industry
- Be trustworthy and reliable
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Qualifications: Not required.
- Experience: Sheet metal work preferred, but not required.
Skills: An Engineering/Manufacturing Employee – Level I will undertake 38 hours of induction training which may include information on the enterprise, conditions of employment, introduction to supervisors and fellow workers, training and career path opportunities, plant layout, work and documentation procedures, occupational health and safety, equal employment opportunity and quality control/assurance.
Performance Goals: An employee at this level performs routine duties of a manual nature and to the level of their training:
- Performs general labouring and cleaning duties
- Exercises minimal judgement
- Works under direct supervision
