Structural Bridge Engineers - Boutique Engineering Consultancy
This role will suit candidates who are currently working at large Tier 1 consultancies and interested in moving to a smaller team environment & help in building a business over the next few years.
Joining this fantastic boutique engineering consultancy, you will be designing and delivering Bridge & Maritime projects across SA.
There are now multiple junior to senior level positions available in the structural bridges team that will allow you to further develop your career in a supportive and flexible working environment that genuinely puts the employee first.

Responsibilities:

• Develop design concepts and carrying out detailed design of simple and complex bridges & maritime projects, underpasses, retaining walls and other infrastructure structures.
• Plan and carry out site inspections of structures, when required.
• Perform advance finite element analysis.
• Perform soil-structure analysis and foundation design.
• Prepare design documentation, technical reports and client’s specifications.
• Manage interface with civil and geotechnical disciplines and incorporate civil and geotechnical design elements within the structural design envelope.
About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 3-7 years of demonstrated project experience relating to bridges and other civil structures and exposure to a structural consulting environment is desired
• Working knowledge of Australian legislation latest codes and standards, AS5100 as well as familiarity with Austroads standards etc.
• Well versed in Structural/ Bridge analysis design software such as STRAND 7, SPACEGASS AND MIDAS.
• Strong communication skills, an ability to liaise with engineers, drafters and modellers and a client driven attitude.
• A commitment to attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
