We are looking for a Venue Officer that will support the activation of Yitpi Yartapuultiku, a new Aboriginal Cultural Centre in Port Adelaide.
Yitpi Yartapuultiku is a place, where shared understanding between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal cultures is reached. The Venue Officer will play their part in supporting Yitpi Yartapuultiku to be a place for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to learn, experience and be immersed in Aboriginal culture.

As Venue Officer for Yitpi Yartapuultiku, you will:
- Provide day-to-day operational support of Yitpi Yartapuultiku Aboriginal Cultural Centre, with a focus on venue hire and administration.
- Supports the delivery of best practice customer service and customer experiences across the Cultural Centre.
- Liaise with businesses, organisations, groups, artists and individuals hiring the venue spaces.
- Set up multipurpose spaces according to the needs of the hirer, including furniture, equipment and technical configurations.
- Monitor bookings for and promote use of a range of multipurpose spaces.
- May be required to work out of hours, evenings, and weekends to support the operational requirements of the Centre.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
- Knowledge of venue management.
- Experience in venue support, hospitality or conference centres.
- Experience in use of bookings software and audio-visual equipment.

This is a Level 3 position which has a current salary range of $85,842 - $92,318 per annum (plus Super).
