The role:
As the role of the Radiology Nurse evolves alongside advances in minimally invasive procedures, we’re expanding our team to keep pace with growth. You’ll play a pivotal part in providing top-tier patient care and supporting a variety of diagnostic and interventional services.

Location: Primarily based at Ashford Hospital, with some travel required to Morphett Vale and Noarlunga

Responsibilities Include:
-
Assisting Radiologists with procedures like deep organ biopsies, lumbar punctures, PICC insertions, drainages, and pain management injections.

Offering expert care and guidance for patients before, during, and after procedures, including medication management.

Working alongside medical imaging staff to streamline workflow and elevate the patient experience.

Engaging with hospital departments and allied health professionals.

Managing IV cannulation, PICC/Port device access, and more.

Coordinating complex patient bookings and liaising with referrers for interventional procedures.

What are we looking for?
-
Experience in nursing, ideally in an acute or theatre/recovery setting.

Strong interpersonal skills , with a knack for managing time effectively and working within a team.

A willingness to adapt to the dynamic needs of a fast-paced environment.

Cannulation skills are highly regarded, as is prior radiology experience, though full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Exceptional communication skills – you’ll need to work closely with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
