We invite you to apply for the position of Mental Health Clinician - Social Worker within our dedicated Local Health Network (LHN) Mental Health service.

About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will draw on your clinical experience and professional expertise to deliver comprehensive and integrated services tailored to the unique needs of our consumers and the local community. Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will employ a variety of therapeutic approaches, including individual and family therapy, group programs, and community development initiatives. Your contributions will enhance the mental health journey of consumers, empowering them to achieve their goals and fostering a sense of connectedness and self-determination.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential criteria:

  • A recognised qualification in Social Work and eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience, demonstrating competencies at the AHP2 level.
  • Ongoing professional development in line with AASW guidelines.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage a complex caseload within a multidisciplinary context.
  • Experience in applying social work principles to facilitate recovery and change for consumers and their families.
  • Strong collaborative skills, including the ability to advocate for consumers and develop supportive networks.
  • Knowledge of local resources to ensure consumers have access to relevant services.
  • Commitment to cultural safety and awareness, particularly in working with Aboriginal communities.

  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
