Description:
LMS Energy is Australia’s largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS requires the services of a full-time or part-time Senior Planner in Prospect, South Australia.
As part of our team, you will collaborate with the Group Manager – Project Development & Compliance where your role will primarily involve obtaining and maintaining development consents for bioenergy and circular economy projects in a manner that ensures efficient project delivery.

Responsibilities:
-
Obtain pre-planning advice from statutory authorities and attend pre-planning meetings with relevant planning and regulatory authorities

Prepare and submit planning and development applications in accordance with local planning policies and respond to requests for information

Obtain project development consent and environmental approvals for a wide variety of renewable bioenergy and circular economy projects across Australia and New Zealand

Coordinate external consultants to develop applications, undertake site surveys and technical studies

Monitor compliance with planning conditions prior to and during project execution, ensuring all obligations are met

Obtain necessary building and occupancy permits in accordance with relevant local authority requirements and the National Construction Code

Represent and negotiate the interests of LMS to external stakeholders and ensure timely project outcomes

Analyse, review and finalise technical and planning reports

Participate in project concept design, assessment and design evolution

Attend internal project meetings and provide detailed planning updates ensuring timely delivery of information to the Projects team to facilitate project delivery

Develop project information for community notifications and represent LMS Energy at public community consultation events

Ensure projects are developed in compliance with planning and building regulations

Work with the Project team to develop and monitor project schedules including identification and verification of critical path activities to ensure required approvals are granted and projects are developed in a timely manner

Ensure project planning documents are filed and managed in accordance with Doc Control procedures

Prepare subdivision and easement applications and lodgements

Develop and maintain relationships with internal and ext ernal stakeholders

Develop, maintain and report to project stakeholders on status of development applications
Requirements:
-
Tertiary qualification (Planning, Environment, Geography, Engineering or Science related discipline)

5+ years of demonstrated experience managing complex planning approvals

Experience in project planning applications for renewable energy projects

Experience in a project or construction environment

Australian Drivers Licence
-
