As part of the leadership team at this site, you will report directly to the Site Operations Manager. You will have overall responsibility for Hospitality Services of our 100-room facility, including food services, cleaning and laundry.

You will use your technical expertise, leadership skills and commitment to optimal work practices to deliver best practice Hospitality services and continuous improvement.

This broad but challenging position will allow you to join a cohort of high-performing Chef Managers across the business, to deliver exceptional customer experience and optimal nutrition for our residents.

You will use proven systems and workflows across food safety, menu development, modified diets, purchasing and workforce management to ensure services are delivered which are compliant with regulatory standards and within budget.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have experience in a complex aged care or healthcare environment
  • Hold qualifications in Hospitality Management or Commercial Cookery
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Be committed to delivering person-centred care
  • Demonstrated team management, development and leadership
  • Be passionate about delivering high quality food
  • Demonstrated cost management with focus on food and labour costs
  • Have an understanding of IDDSI framework

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (vulnerable) and clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.
