Responsibilities
Located in Newport, as a Labourer, your primary responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring a tidy and hazard-free workspace by strictly following Alstom's EHS safety guidelines.
• Supporting day-to-day site operations by carrying out tasks as directed by the test lead and supervisors.
• Assisting with ground-level activities across both workshop and test train environments as needed.
• Handling and positioning weight components on test trains to align with specified ballast configurations.
• Using forklifts to transport materials and support site operations efficiently.
• Preparing and setting up tools and test equipment for various serial and validation test procedures.
Your Profile
To be considered for this role, you should have:
• Forklift licence within date
• Working at Height certificates (desirable)
• Fit for heavy manual handling / operation duties on site
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Previous experience in the transport or logistics industry is preferred.

• Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 3 PM.
• Duration: Casual 6-month assignment with potential for extension or permanent placement directly with Alstom (at their discretion).
