This is an exceptional opportunity to lead Numburindi Corporation Ltd (NCL) in its work advancing the interests of Numburindi people at Numbulwar in the spectacular south east region of Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will work with the board of directors, members, employees, partner organisations and stakeholders to continue to unlock the potential of the Corporation. Building on a secure financial position and significant growth of the past five years, the CEO will implement and operationalise the strategic plan, shaping the Corporation’s future and thus ensuring its long-term sustainability in providing ongoing opportunities for Numbulwar community and Nunggubuyu Country.
The CEO will be an executive leader and change manager who is highly effective at working collaboratively and sensitively to deliver outcomes in a dynamic, complex environment. This person is a strategist, with the ability to develop new relationships and opportunities for the empowerment of Numburindi people.
With a good knowledge of Aboriginal cultures and the issues facing Indigenous communities, the CEO will have an exceptional ability to develop appropriate governance through their in-depth understanding of risks (particularly financial, legal, commercial, and safety), and experience in leading diverse business development, including within the Indigenous arts sector.

Salary and Conditions
The position has a generous salary negotiated upon demonstrated experience and skills.
In addition to this, superannuation guarantee contributions (currently 11.5%) and additional salary allowances apply, including travel allowance, a technology allowance and a relocation allowance, if required. The position will receive 5 weeks annual leave pro rata (with 17.5% leave loading), long service leave after 10 years of service and NT State public holidays.
NCL is a public benevolent institution for income tax purposes making available excellent salary sacrifice arrangements.
The position will ideally be based in Katherine or Darwin with regular travel to Numbulwar, a remote location with reasonable services and some seasonal road closures.
