Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Female Disability Worker to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to support individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary care, assistance, and empowerment to live independently and fully participate in their community. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting well-being, and advocating for their rights, while maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in developing independent living skills, social interaction, and community involvement.
- Monitor and record clients' health, behavior, and progress, reporting any changes to the supervisor or medical professional as needed.
- Foster a supportive and positive environment, encouraging the client’s autonomy and participation in decision-making.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to clients, offering reassurance and guidance during difficult moments.
- Promote health and safety in all activities, ensuring a safe environment for both clients and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, following appropriate protocols.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with best practices and regulations related to disability care.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a disability support role, preferably with female clients.
- Certification or qualification in Disability Support, Health and Social Care, or related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of disabilities and how they affect individuals' physical and mental health.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to working with vulnerable individuals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks related to client care (e.g., lifting, assisting with mobility).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- A current First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Screening check.
- Own Transport.
- Fluent English (Participants preferred request)
- Female Support worker 30+ years age (Participants preferred request)

Pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour
