Spanning various exciting maintenance shutdowns and projects from Kwinana to Bunbury, this opportunity offers regular work throughout the year. The RoleDuties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the below:
- Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld procedures
- Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components
- Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required
- Solid understanding of current Australian Welding Standards.
- Welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW and Arc air gouging.
- Ability to pass weld tests 3G, 4G and 6G
- Follow quality control systems and techniques
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Construction White Card
- Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue)
- Enter and Work in Confined Space (within 2 years of issue)
- Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
- Own form of transport to and from site
