An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health Liaison to join the Mental Health Community and Alcohol and Drug Service team in Geraldton in the Midwest.
To be successful, you will have...
Extensive knowledge and experience of mental health disorders and provision of evidence based treatment in acute and community settings.Significant experience in crisis intervention and the prioritising, and management of psychiatric and non-psychiatric emergencies in complex situations.Knowledge and skills in the implementation of the WA Mental Health Act and legislation affecting clinical practice.Highly developed communication skills including computer literacy.Highly developed negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and use effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Position Profile
Establish and maintain high quality standards of patient care by leadership, delivery of care and role modelling in accordance with policies and procedures. Act as a clinical resource to staff across the hospital. Provide expert clinical assessment, screening, follow-up and care as required.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations.
