The Role
The Environmental Specialist drives sustainability improvements and ensures environmental compliance across the site and its supporting infrastructure. The Environmental Specialist will play an essential part in maintaining and advancing the site’s environmental management system (EMS) in line with ISO 14001 standards, collaborating closely with operational teams and other stakeholders to achieve outstanding environmental outcomes.
It is a residential full-time role at our Kemerton site (located near Bunbury in the South West of Western Australia) and will be required to work Monday to Friday (standard business hours).
Key Responsibilities

Manage key sustainability data management processes, ensuring accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of environmental and sustainability performance metrics.

Provide technical and legislative advice on environmental and sustainability matters, helping the business meet its environmental goals and compliance obligations.

Regularly review and optimize the site’s Environmental Management Information System (EMIS) to ensure it supports effective decision-making and ongoing environmental compliance with ISO 14001.

Efficiently execute environmental compliance programs (monitoring, auditing, reporting) and deliver timely and accurate reports to various stakeholders.

Utilise data and analytics to monitor and report progress towards environmental and sustainability goals and targets

Collaborate with operational and support staff to drive sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with both regulatory requirements and corporate sustainability targets.

Support the operations team in delivering Operational Excellence, through guidance and training in environmental management
About You

Proficiency in environmental management software and sustainability reporting platforms
Education / Qualification Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
