Capricorn operates in two distinct project regions in Western Australia: the Karlawinda Gold Project in the Pilbara region and the Mt Gibson Gold Project , which is currently under development in the Mid-West region.
About the Role
Capricorn is currently looking for a self-motivated and professional Graduate Health and Safety Advisor or Final Year Student to begin working with our team at the Karlawinda Gold project in the Pilbara region. In this role, you will build highly sought-after skills while being mentored and supported with internal and external training and development opportunities that will undoubtedly fast-track your career progression.
This role is offered on a 14:7 roster and day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Researching and providing advice on WHS matters on a proactive basis.

Supporting the company’s audit and assurance framework.

Preparing data and report on safety performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

Facilitate incident investigations and the development.

Collaborate with site leadership teams to identify training needs and support training bookings.

Participate in Health and Safety Meetings, Mine Rescue and general training as required.

Support on-site safety committees, prepare and conduct toolbox meetings and communication of safety related material.

Utilisation and maintenance of databases and spreadsheets as required.
To be successful in your application, you will:

Be due to complete your Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety by the end of 2025 (or have completed within the last 12 months).

Have a current C Class manual driver's licence, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.

Be passionate, self-motivated and have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Be a problem solver and innovative thinker.

Have an advantage if you have completed prior vacation work within the mining industry.

Have working rights to live and work in Australia with no visa restrictions.
