About the Role:
Reporting to the Manager - Infrastructure, the purpose of this position is to plan and schedule short to long term maintenance activities to ensure maximum asset availability, optimisation, reliability, and condition in accordance with statutory regulations, manufacturers' specifications, agreed quality and Talison Lithium Pty Ltd ( Talison, Company ) standards in a cost effective and safe manner within the Infrastructure and Site Services teams.
Responsibilities include:
- provide the Infrastructure and Site Services team with Preventative Maintenance ideology as set out within Maintenance Management Systems philosophy;
- conduct performance reviews with planning team to highlight areas of achievement, positive reinforcement and areas requiring improvement;
- ensure that all costs are captured on to planned work orders;
- ensure that work procedures are kept up to date and accurate;
- obtain quotes and establish contracts in conjunction with the Supervisor/Coordinator;
- highlight costs that fall outside the annual budget and provide explanation;
- assist in the creation of the annual budget and that of the long-term period;
- keep abreast with the latest technology by developing/implementing strategies that improve asset life and reduce running costs;
- plan, prioritise and schedule asset Preventative Maintenance activities for the Infrastructure and Site Services teams;
- log, record all data, i.e., history, run hours, maintenance activities in computerized maintenance management system ( CMMS );
- ensure that spare parts are available for Preventative Maintenance type tasks that have been identified;
- participate in the afterhours "on call roster" as required; and
- conduct planning meetings to inform various departments on planned maintenance activities.
About the Candidate:
- minimum of 10 years' experience in Planning within a continuous mineral processing industry, mining or heavy industry maintenance environment;
- ability to develop preventative maintenance programs;
- understanding of maintenance management systems;
- ability to prepare budgets, forecasts and analyse cost variances;
- knowledge and understanding of Mines Act and Regulations and has completed the S26 exam;
- excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- be a self-starter and able to work unsupervised;
- ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation;
- ability to work in and develop a team environment;
- strong orientation to safe work practices; and
- ability to change and be proactively involved in a changing work environment.
