The Role
We are seeking a Workforce Planner to join our team on an 8:6 roster based in Perth. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Workforce/Forecast Planner looking for a move into the Mining industry!
Reporting to the Mobilisation and Planning Team Lead you will be responsible for developing and managing labour in our workforce management software. This role is the focal point of contact for our clients, site coordinators and internal managers to ensure that our maintenance works, and shutdowns are set up for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Consulting directly with key departments to drive job kick off meetings to clearly outline job requirements
- Engaging with the client and key Warrikal personnel to clearly define job requirements in relation to total personnel, dates, training requirements and assets
- Partnering with Recruitment for any resource requirements within the Warrikal planning software
- Advising senior management of delays with client engagements as per the Forecast Planning workflow and presenting clear revised timelines for delivery
- Allocating personnel to the works taking into consideration fatigue, previous work, and forecasted work
- Facilitating a Job Cut Off Meeting to finalise allocations, changes and any other training or scope needs
- Control, update and maintain the Job Tracker to report key dates and requirements of personnel throughout the planning process
- Escalating to the Resource Planning Manager of any significant scope or resourcing level changes
- Promote and drive the Warrikal Web App awareness
About You
- Eligible to work in Australia
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working within the resources sector in a similar role
- Experience using training, mobilisation or planning softwares such as ERMS, SuccessFactors, and INX
- Experience on a planning or workforce management system is advantageous (OPMS, IFS, SAP etc.)
- A team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to change
- Be able to work cohesively in a fast paced and dynamic environment, with good organisational skills to coordinate mobilisation requirements
- Capable of developing and maintaining professional and effective interpersonal relationships with stakeholders
