About the Role
Join our client as an Intermediate Accountant / Client Manager, where you'll work closely with clients to provide tailored tax and business advice. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of your client portfolio while growing your career in a collaborative and vibrant environment. You'll enjoy a mix of advisory, compliance, and leadership responsibilities with a team that truly values its people.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and advise a portfolio of client groups
- Provide budgeting, forecasting, and small business advice
- Deliver tailored management reports and tax planning strategies
- Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns
- Research and resolve complex taxation issues
- Liaise with the ATO on behalf of clients
- Draft trust distribution and company dividend minutes
- Support and mentor junior accountants
- Collaborate across teams to ensure exceptional service
Skills and Experience Required
- 3+ years of experience in public practice accounting
- 1+ years of experience managing clients
- Strong skills in taxation, compliance, and advisory
- Proven ability to manage client relationships
- Proactive and strategic problem-solver
- Skilled in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- Bonus: Experience working with agricultural or farming clients
