Description:

Our client, Nashco Pty Ltd is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Fitter (General) to join our growing team and support the continued operation, efficiency, and safety of our production equipment and plant.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commission and set up tooling and plant equipment for daily operation.
2. Perform quality checks, ensure compliance with production standards, and rectify any faults to maintain tolerances.
3. Assist in the development and execution of a regular machinery maintenance schedule.
4. Support the implementation of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) systems and procedures.
5. Contribute to the continuous improvement of plant processes and facilities, using Lean principles.
6. Ensure smooth workflow throughout the factory by becoming proficient in plant operations.
7. Collaborate with team members to foster knowledge sharing and continuous learning through cross-training.

Requirements

1. Relevant trade qualification
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
3. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fault diagnosis, and machine setup.
4. Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with precision tools.
5. Commitment to workplace safety and team collaboration.
