RESIDENTIAL LOCATION: Kalgoorlie (Company House Accommodation)

WORK SITE: Travel between multiple sites

ROSTER: 5:2 - 9 hrs or 9:5 Day shift only - 10hrs ( Residential or FIFO )

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

This role ensures the reliability of IT(Information Technology)/OT(Operational Technology) systems by maintaining and troubleshooting industrial networks, video monitoring, and digital radio systems. Reporting to the Mine Systems Specialist, you will optimise digital communications to support safe and efficient mining operations. Success in this role requires collaboration with technical teams and contractors to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

  • Design, implement, and optimise network infrastructure for reliability and security.

  • Maintain and manage routers, switches, firewalls, LTE, two-way radios, and CCTV systems.

  • Analyse network traffic, update policies, and schedule upgrades to improve security and performance.

  • Oversee network projects, procure equipment, and manage subcontractors to control costs and resources.

  • Provide timely and accurate IT/OT support while ensuring high availability and safety in communications.

  • Maintain network documentation and ensure compliance with company policies, budgets, and regulations.

ABOUT YOU

  • At least 2 years of work experience with IT/OT networks. (Essential)

  • Relevant tertiary/TAFE qualificationsor equivalent certificates. (Essential)

  • Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class “C” Driver’s Licence (Essential)

  • CCNA certification ( Essential ), CCNP preferred. Firewall experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in DNS, DHCP, VLAN, OSPF, routing, and wireless technologies.

  • Knowledge of RF communication systems.

  • Experience with Cisco, Aruba, and Huawei network products would be ideal.

  • Receive a $12k residential allowance per annum, if you are residential and not FIFO.

  • Receive up to $5k site allowance per annum, depending on your site location.

  • Receive up to 10% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of your base salary.

  • A fully covered family private health insurance through GU Health Complete Gold Cover or allowance up to $5k.

  • A fully covered Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance or allowance up to $2.4k.

  • Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service.
