About the role:
The Aboriginal Education Directorate provides strategic cultural and policy advice on national and state policy direction in relation to Aboriginal education and contributes to the implementation of the Department’s Aboriginal Education Strategy. The Department is committed to a substantial improvement in the educational outcomes of Aboriginal children and young people.
The Administration Officer delivers a specialised range of administration functions within the context of the Aboriginal Education Directorate. The Administration Officer reports to the Senior Business Manager, works as a member of the Business Services team and works closely with Aboriginal Education Directorate staff external to the Corporate office to achieve objectives and goals.
The Administration Officer delivers a specialised range of administrative functions within the context of the Aboriginal Education Directorate and contributes to the delivery and maintenance of efficient work practices within the directorate. The Administration Officer provides administrative support services to workgroups, clients and stakeholders in order to achieve the directorate’s objectives and goals.

Qualifications:
Essential: Nil.
Desirable: Understanding of Administration practices and department systems.
Special conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO2 $58,709 - $63,154 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
