About the Role:
The Wildlife Ethics Committee Executive Officer provides timely and professional services to support the Wildlife Ethics Committee and works with the Chair to manage the regulatory and administrative aspects of the functioning of the Committee. The role is responsible for managing the scientific research permit assessment, approval and issue processes to ensure that research conducted within the State’s system of reserves, and/or the collection or use of protected wildlife is performed in an ethical, environmentally and culturally sensitive and sustainable manner.

Contract:
Up to 30 June 2026
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a vehicle when required.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.
- This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. By applying for this role you consent to being screened under the process of obtaining a National Police Clearance (NPC), and to the Department requiring you to obtain an NPC
Remuneration:
ASO4 $76,561 min - $80,256 max p.a., pro rata for part time hours.
