You will assess and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure the integrity of the demographic data of Queensland Health patient records to support patient safety.
What you'll do
• Process reports daily to assist with assessing the accuracy and integrity of patient demographic data.
• Use Queensland Master Patient Index software for patient matching purposes to ensure accuracy and integrity of state-wide information.
• Manage, resolve, and respond to queries from Hospital Health Services (HHSs) regarding patient demographic and patient matching matters via ServiceNow, email and phone.
• Adhere to the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behavior while dealing with confidential patient information.
• Build and maintain relationships with the unit and organization through people skills including a demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate effectively with all staff.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Ability to acquire knowledge of information management policies, standards and practice and their contribution to health service delivery.
• Ability to acquire knowledge and skills in the maintenance of patient demographic data including tools and techniques to assist with analyzing the integrity of data in a healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated communication (verbal and written) and people skills, with the proven ability to work in a team environment and maintain effective relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to plan duties/tasks, both individually and as a member of a work group, to achieve outcomes in required times.
